Jonathon qualified in 1991 and has specialist expertise in handling a wide range of disputes within the banking, finance and financial services sector, both retail and wholesale.  His practice includes complex mis-selling claims, regulatory investigations and proceedings, including enforcement proceedings by the FCA and other bodies, both statutory and non-statutory.  He advises on associated issues, including internal investigations, past business reviews and remediation programmes.

In addition Jonathon handles high value commercial disputes mainly within but also outside the banking and financial services sector, including shareholders and JV matters, insolvency, fraud and asset tracing. Jonathon also has market leading experience in successfully defending public interest winding up proceedings by the Secretary of State both at first instance and on appeal.
He acts as an adviser to a range of clients on risk management issues.

Jonathon has previously been a partner at international law firms in both the UK and the Asia-Pacific region, advising on complex disputes in a wide range of jurisdictions including the US, Hong Kong, India, China and the Middle East.

Jonathon is also admitted as Solicitor in Hong Kong.
