Kacey is a banking and finance lawyer specialising in a range of debt finance work, including bilateral and syndicated lending both on a national and international level. She acts on behalf of both banks and borrowers (either corporate or private equity). Kacey’s experience includes real estate finance, acquisition finance, leveraged finance and general corporate lending.

Kacey has worked on a wide variety of transactions including:

  • Acting for a property company in relation to their continued funding arrangements through various investment vehicles in order to obtain funding for the development of student accommodation blocks in various locations in England.
  • Advising the owner of a luxury hotel complex in Ghana in relation to the refinancing of its existing debt with two new facilities totally $31,500,000 from a bank located in Ghana and a BVI Fund.
  • Advising AIB Group (U.K) plc in relation to a £2.5 million term loan facility for the purpose of acquiring 100% of the share capital in a hotel and leisure company.
  • Advising Winnow Solutions Limited in relation to a EUR7,500,000 term loan from the European Investment Bank. Winnow are a technology company which aims to develop a software and hardware food waste management solution to help restaurants optimise the use of raw materials.

Kacey trained at Shearman & Sterling before joining Olswang (now CMS) where she worked on a mix of real estate finance, acquisition finance and general banking, before spending 9 years in the London office of Baker McKenzie.
