Lorna has a CLT Paralegal Qualification in Licensing Law and Practice and works as a Paralegal within the licensing team at Shoosmiths. Lorna's core focus of practice is advising clients on matters relating to the Licensing Act 2003.

Lorna has over 4 years' experience of resolving applications where objections are received by negotiating and reaching mutual agreements with responsible authorities and other relevant parties, often without the need for a formal hearing of the licensing sub committee. Where agreements can't be reached, Lorna works with her clients and leading licensing Barristers to effectively prepare for a hearing where necessary.

Lorna assists major national retail, leisure and food & drink clients with applications for new premises licences, variations, temporary event notices, transfers and hearings.

Lorna also advises other departments within Shoosmiths on licensing matters where required.
