Rachael has over 16 years’ experience of advising wealthy and agricultural clients in all aspects of their personal affairs. She is also regularly appointed by Court of Protection deputies in managing complex client financial affairs.
Rachael works directly with clients, in conjunction with financial and tax experts, advising on Wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney and tax efficient succession planning. She is regularly appointed as a professional attorney, executor and trustee and deals with all aspects of probate and estate administration.
Rachael has strong agricultural and equestrian links. Recent experience includes:
  • Succession planning for international showjumper with personal, business and agricultural property aspects.
  • Estate administration and variation of Will in the estate of a 1966 World Cup player.
  • Advising a beneficiary and establishing title to intestate estate through extraction of DNA from the deceased and the beneficiary. 

Rachael joined Shoosmiths in May 2020 following 6 years as a private client partner at Ramsdens LLP and 10 years in the private client team of Ramsdens, Huddersfield.

Rachael is a member of the Law Society Private Client Section, Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), Agricultural Law Association and is a Dementia Friend.
