Road traffic prosecutions
As part of our regulatory and compliance offering to clients, we provide a full motoring defence legal service.
Business clients may receive summonses charging the corporate body with a motoring or vehicle offence; one of their employees driving a company vehicle or driving at leisure may also be prosecuted.
In this instance, we can provide tailored legal advice and help that will suit the more exacting requirements of a company, director or senior manager faced with a difficult prosecution.
We have a long and successful track record of providing legal advice on a range of road traffic prosecutions, including:
- speeding offences
- the 'totting up' procedure and applications to avoid driving bans
- dangerous and careless driving, including charges of causing death while driving
- failure to stop and report an accident
- drink driving offences
- failure to insure a motor vehicle
- failure to identify a driver
As experienced advocates, we can provide a full defence service, right through to conclusion of the matter in court. However, we will always work towards and explore every legal option available to have the matter withdrawn before a court appearance is necessary.
We are very aware of the importance to clients that their employees hold a driving licence, and make this our priority. We are also sensitive to the fact that for individuals, a driving licence can be essential.
As specialists in advising corporate clients, we ensure companies do not accept incorrect or technically flawed prosecutions.
