- Advising the shareholders of a group of jewellery businesses in connection with the preservation of their investment and formulating an appropriate exit strategy. We introduced the client to a restructuring specialist who assisted in trading the businesses for a short period, culminating in a sale of debt and equity to an American investor for a greatly enhanced realisation.
- Advising the directors of a distressed AIM listed company in connection with the restructuring of the group, of which it was the parent company. We introduced the directors to an insolvency practitioner and formulated a strategy enabling a new company to be formed to acquire the shares in various subsidiaries of the AIM listed company through the administration procedure.
- Advising a well known travel retailer in connection with acquiring and restructuring one of its key IT suppliers. The IT supplier was critical to our client's business. The restructure was facilitated through the acquisition by our client of the debt and security of the IT supplier's funder. Following the acquisition of the funder's debt and security, our client was able to take control of the IT supplier's restructuring which was completed through a pre-packaged administration sale of the critical parts of the IT supplier to our client.
