Shoosmiths has advised Proximity Data Centres on its latest acquisition in Milton Keynes, adding a tenth data centre to its rapidly expanding portfolio.
The milestone deal sees Proximity, one of the UK’s fastest growing regional data centre companies, open a new 3.2 acre facility in Milton Keynes, with 3 MW of available power.
This latest opening takes the total amount of space Shoosmiths has helped Proximity to acquire to over 300,000 sq ft, including sites in Birmingham, Liverpool and Chester.
Shoosmiths has advised on real estate, construction, banking, employment and corporate matters, helping Proximity to progress its strategy of establishing a nationwide network of highly-connected regional edge data centres in close proximity to 95% of the UK population. The partnership with the data centre provider spans over three years.
