The Indices used this year place Joseph Mazzucca and Caroline Watson in Band One for their respective disciplines alongside private bankers, wealth managers, private investment offices, accountants and reputation managers. Elliot Bishop is in equally vaunted company, listed in the top HNW service providers as Band Two: business angels, security advisers, interior designers, equine advisers, art advisers, philanthropy, yachts and aviation, and concierges.
Deciding who makes an appearance in the guide is based on peer review and client referrals, backed up by Spear’s in-house research and analysis, informed by reader feedback, client interviews and questionnaires. The top 1,000 entries at that date added up to around £300 billion. Now the total wealth of those on the Rich List is £519 billion.
Today, the magazine and guide is read in all British Airways and other carriers’ first-class cabins and business lounges as well as top class London hotels and other venues frequented by HNW individuals. The average Spear’s reader has a net worth (excluding their primary residence) of £5.5 million and an average annual income of £780,000.
