The Leeds CR committee decided it wanted to help those in the local community that are less fortunate than ourselves. We felt that this was particularly important around Christmas time.
Every day people go hungry for many reasons and a simple box of food makes a big difference to them.
Over the past few weeks during November 2018, the Leeds office has collected hundreds of much needed vital supplies and Christmas items to help families in crisis over the winter season.
‘Thank you to everybody that has contributed, and a big special thank you to our supermarket sweep ladies, Claire Hainsworth, Pam Mountain and Surjit Bharj who kindly gave up their lunchtimes to buy items from the cash donations received.
We have arranged for our local Trussell Trust Food Bank to collect the items in time for a Christmas delivery.’ Jo Grosvenor, senior paralegal.
