Shoosmiths awarded Pennies from Heaven gold award for seventh consecutive year

Thanks to the many colleagues who support our Pennies from Heaven salary donations to charities scheme Shoosmiths has been awarded a Gold award for the 7th consecutive year. 34% of our staff donating their pennies is a fantastic achievement.

Pennies from Heaven enables colleagues to donate loose pennies from their monthly salary payment. The maximum pledge would be 99p per month by an employee, totaling £11.88 per year. In 2016/2017 Shoosmiths colleagues donated £2,986.74 to nine local charity partners namely Brain Tumour Research, Guide Dogs, Milton Keynes Community Foundation, Motiv8, Northampton Hope Centre, Nottingham Women’s Centre, St. Michael’s Hospice, SIFA Fireside and Scottish Association for Mental Health.

In the words of Pennies from Heaven ‘There can be little doubt that ‘small change is making a big change.’ As at the end of February 2018 our cumulative total of donations to charities since we joined the scheme was £23,486.
