David is a costs draftsman in Shoosmiths' costs team.
David joined Shoosmiths in 2015 as a paralegal in the clinical negligence department, having previously spent 3 years in a similar role at a Coventry-based firm, before then joining the costs team in 2018.
David specialises in costs associated with personal injury and clinical negligence claims, bringing an understanding of the work involved in these matters based on 6 years' experience in the sector. Predominantly representing receiving parties, his work includes preparing costs budgets, conducting budget negotiations, preparing bills of costs and conducting costs proceedings up to and including detailed assessment.
In addition to his work associated with the budgeting and assessment of costs, David has also been involved in multiple appeals, both in the High Court and in the Court of Appeal.
David graduated with a law degree from the University of Manchester in 2009 and was called to the bar in 2010 following completion of the Bar Vocational Course at City University, London.
