Liz acts for institutional landlords, corporate investors, developers and occupiers on acquisitions, disposals and lettings.  Liz also plays a key role supporting the firm's corporate division with the real estate aspects of both share and asset sales in various sectors including healthcare, education and renewable energy.  With a keen interest in sustainability and ESG, Liz is also a founding member of Shoosmiths' sustainability group and leads the real estate support in England to the Energy and Infrastructure sector. 

Recent experience includes:

(1) Acting for longstanding client McKay Securities on the asset management of its portfolio as well as its acquisitions and disposals programmes including:

  • the disposal of 30 Lombard Street, London for £76.5m
  • the disposal of Great Brighams Mead, Reading to a residential developer for £19m
  • the acquisition of Evergreen Studios, Richmond for £14.75m
  • the acquisition of 54,000 sq ft of logistics space in Bracknell for £10m

(2) Advising investors, JV partners and developers on the real estate aspects of renewable energy transactions including the acquisition, finance and disposal of various solar and wind energy sites across the UK as well as on the roll out of EV Charging points

(3) Advising a care home developer and operator on its acquisition and development of sites across the South East and East Anglia

Liz studied at University of East Anglia (UEA), the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL) and BPP Law School, London.  She joined Shoosmiths in 2016 having trained and worked at Norton Rose Fulbright LLP for ten years.
