Sarah is a qualified Senior Paralegal in the Edinburgh Real Estate team and has 14 years’ experience as a qualified paralegal and has extensive experience across both private and public sector property matters and has worked with housebuilders/developers, Housing Associations, commercial and individual clients.
Sarah’s work for housebuilders includes plot sales and part exchanges for national and local housebuilders, dealing with estate set-up and compilation of estate titles, and the full plot sale process including responding to title queries, contract negotiation, and conveyancing. She is experienced in working to clients’ particular requirements in terms of service delivery and reporting, and has assisted in fine-tuning such processes and updating them as required, in order to ensure complete client satisfaction.
Sarah has become increasingly specialised in shared ownership and development disposals and became the sole point of contact for our Housing Association clients in relation to the Shared Equity Schemes developed in Edinburgh for “LIFT” (Homestake) when this was first introduced, working closely with our RSL clients and the Scottish Government. This included processing and drafting of the relevant grant documentation including the sales-on and tranching up in equity stakes and is hugely experienced in Shared Equity Schemes. Sarah has also dealt with sales of new supply housing and shared ownership projects, dealing with sales of shares for new build properties, tranching up and onward sales of shares.
Sarah has been involved with a Sale and Leaseback Agreement dealing with sale of the individual newbuild properties back to the developer once the RSL Lease to the tenant is at an end.
Sarah has further experience in the sales of individual tenement flats in Edinburgh by RSLs to purchasers for reinvestment into affordable housing development.
She has also dealt with Deeds of Servitudes between RSLs and the Council and Service Suppliers over newbuild developments as well as Deed of Servitudes for some of our Housebuilder clients.
