Shoosmiths property expert completes illustrious panel for Question Time event

Commercial property expert, and head of national law firm Shoosmiths' Birmingham office, Jason Jackson will join fellow industry experts to discuss how the second city can continue to drive forward its economy as a part of the Midlands Engine.

Jason, real estate partner at Shoosmiths, will be part of an illustrious panel to debate the question 'What can and should city leaders do to maintain Birmingham's powerful momentum?' as part of trade publication Estates Gazette's Question Time series.

With more capital committed to its infrastructure projects than any other European city and major developments including Arena Central, Paradise Circus and Smithfield Market, Birmingham continues to consolidate its position as an ever growing force.

Jason said: "Significant progress has been made in recent years on developing Birmingham, which has attracted huge amounts of investment, both domestic and overseas, into the city.

"While this is magnificent news for the people and businesses of Birmingham, it is the responsibility of those in the business community as well as the city's politicians, to ensure that momentum continues. The event promises to be a fascinating discussion."

Jason will be joined by Deborah Cadman, chief executive of the West Midlands Combined Authority, Pete Gladwell, head of public sector partnerships at L&G, John Griffiths, head of development in Birmingham at Savills, Marcus Claridge, director of Claridge Architects and Adam Ratzker, director of Galliard Homes.

The free to attend debate, which includes networking opportunities, will go ahead on Tuesday, February 27 at 1 Colmore Square, Birmingham.
