LAW firm Shoosmiths has scooped TMT Team of the Year at this year’s Legal Business Awards, a year on from being awarded Law Firm of the Year.
Legal Business states the TMT Team of the Year category winner must demonstrate market-leading commercial or regulatory expertise through advice on a specific technology case or transaction.
Shoosmiths was awarded the prestigious accolade for its expertise in advising on global Web3 and Metaverse strategies. These strategies have been on highly complex and nascent technology matters such as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), proof-of-attendance protocols (POAPs), augmented reality (AR), and the Metaverse, with Shoosmiths supporting its clients’ transition into these new, technologically focussed markets.
During 2022 and 2023, the team has built significant expertise in Web3 and Metaverse projects, regularly advising on cutting-edge transactions for a diverse range of top clients. The team now has a pre-eminent position in this emerging field, having played a key role on several transactions.
